What we do
Interactive workshops from FutureMedic provide insight into the role and work of doctors and support young people in their aim of successful entry into a UK medical school.
We also offer supervised clinical work experiences with a variety of qualified doctors. These interactions provide evidence for UCAS personal statements and talking points for medical school interviews.
At FutureMedic we don't just focus on the role of a doctor. We ensure that the patient perspective is embedded into all our clinical experiences and workshops to enhance empathy and crucial interpersonal skills development.
How we do it
FutureMedic use up to date evidence, our own experience and the latest clinical learning products to create realistic, informative and fun workshops.
All our tutors are healthcare experts and our clinical work experiences are only led by senior clinicians.
We use a variety of teaching methods, guided by our educational consultant, and incorporate real-world scenarios into every workshop.
FutureMedic are proud to use advanced simulation and augmented reality technology to provide realistic clinical practice situations for young people to navigate under our supervision.
Why we do it
At FutureMedic we are passionate about great patient care and developing our future clinicians.
We want to help young people be fully informed about their degree and career choice. We also want them to be self-reflective - to understand what they need to develop about themselves to be successful for medical school entry and beyond!
Medical schools ask aspiring students to demonstrate that they understand the role and work of a doctor by undertaking 'shadowing' or work experience.
We know it has never been easy to secure this medical work experience, more so during the pandemic.
