Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of services from FutureMedic, a product line from Mediqual Ltd. 

Interpretation

In these terms and conditions, the following words have the meanings set out below: 

Service(s) - Service(s) signifies the educational offerings from FutureMedic, namely The Aspire Programme & The Clinex Course. Booking a place on a service signifies the client’s acceptance of the terms & conditions set out here.

Force Majeure - Any mechanical breakdown, failure in electricity supply, labour dispute, flood, fire storm, tempest, act of war, terrorism, pandemic, Government restriction or act of God which may cause the premises and/or service to be inaccessible, closed temporarily or interrupted. 

Event - The proposed service purchased.

Client - The individual who purchases a place for a service.

Third Party Users - The guests, or delegates, invited to attend the event by the client if they differ from the client themselves.

Service Charge - The monetary charge for the purchase of services from FutureMedic

Parties 

  1. This agreement is between the client & Mediqual Ltd.

Payment 

2.1 Payment is required prior to the date(s) of the event(s) in order to secure a place on the required Service. 

2.2 A receipt shall be sent to the client from the payment gateway used by Mediqual Ltd.

2.3 All prices listed on the FutureMedic website and promotional material are inclusive of applicable VAT unless otherwise stated.

2.4 Booking a place on a service signifies the client’s acceptance of these terms & conditions.

2.5 The client agrees to pay the reasonable costs incurred by Mediqual Ltd in repairing or replacing any of the event premises, the facilities or equipment lost, damaged or destroyed by a third-party user.

Cancellations

3.1 The service charge to secure a place at an event is non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Mediqual Ltd reserves the right to amend the terms of any booking or to cancel the service if the holding of the event is prevented by reason of Force Majeure. Neither FutureMedic or Mediqual Ltd shall be liable for any loss or damage arising from such amendment or cancellation. 

3.3 Either party may cancel a service booking by giving notice in writing to before the start of the event. Client cancellation will be effective on the date received by FutureMedic on behalf of Mediqual Ltd.

3.4 Where Mediqual Ltd cancels an event, Mediqual Ltd shall repay to the client the service charge.

3.5 In the event that the advertised venue cannot be used, Mediqual Ltd will endeavour to source an alternative venue as close to the original location as possible.

3.6 In the event that an advertised date cannot proceed, Mediqual Ltd will endeavour to source an alternative future weekend date for third-party users to attend.

3.7 Mediqual Ltd require a minimum of eight (8) third-party users to run an effective event. If this minimum number is not attained, Mediqual Ltd will cancel the event and offer a refund of the service charge or a place on a future programme/course.

Catering 

4.1 Mediqual Ltd shall provide access to drinking water at all events.

4.2 Clients & third-party users shall be responsible for providing/sourcing other food and refreshments for their sustenance during events from local eateries or by bringing such sustenance from home.

4.3 Clients shall inform Mediqual Ltd of any known third-party user food allergies at the time of booking so that this information can be communicated to other clients/third-party users who may wish to bring their own food & drink from home.

Health and Safety of Third-Party Users 

5.1 Mediqual Ltd shall arrange for first aid trained personnel to be in attendance for medical emergencies should they arise during the event. 

5.2 The client shall inform Mediqual Ltd of any known medical issues that have a potential to arise during events for third-party users at the time of booking.

5.3 Disabled access into an event venue may involve the use of wheelchair ramps. The client shall advise Mediqual Ltd at the time of booking whether it is anticipated that these facilities may need to be used. 

5.4 Mediqual Ltd shall ensure that third-party users are adequately supervised during the service and while on the event premises. 

5.5 Mediqual Ltd shall ensure that all third-party users wear and/or use appropriate personal protective clothing during clinical simulations as required

5.6 Where third-party users include children under the age of sixteen (16), Mediqual Ltd shall be responsible for ensuring that all staff working in any capacity organising, operating, assisting with or supervising services shall have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check. 

5.7 Mediqual Ltd reserve the right to contact the client at the contact details provided at the time of booking if a third-party user does not attend an event or does not return to an event following a scheduled break where they left the event premises. 

Intoxicating Liquors, Substances & Smoking 

6.1 Third-party users are prohibited from bringing any intoxicating substances or illegal drugs to an event. 

6.2 The smoking of cigarettes or vaping at an event is strictly prohibited. 

Liability 

7.1 Mediqual Ltd is responsible for ensuring that public liability insurance is in place for the event. Details of this can be requested from FutureMedic, on behalf of Mediqual Ltd from 10 days prior to the event taking place. 

7.2 Mediqual Ltd shall not accept liability or responsibility for third-party users before or after the Event or if they leave the event premises at any time.

Photography & Social Media

8.1 Mediqual Ltd reserve the right to take video/photography during events to use in promotional material (print & social media).

8.2 Mediqual Ltd will, as far as possible, attempt to limit exposure of third-party users and any identifying features.

8.3 The client, or third-party user, can request prior to or during events that they are not filmed or photographed.

8.4 Mediqual Ltd will not seek further consent or permissions after each session has concluded.
